The Department of Economics at Monash University is hiring a post-doctoral fellow in the area of Applied Macroeconomics for a 2-year position.

Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in the solution and estimation of DSGE models with heterogeneous agents and/or DSGE models with volatility shocks. It is expected that the post-doctoral fellow will work closely with Associate Professor Giovanni Caggiano (Monash University) and Professor Efrem Castelnuovo (University of Melbourne) on a project on “Uncertainty, financial frictions, and business cycle fluctuations”. The post-doctoral fellow is expected to contribute to the overall research environment in the Department of Economics at Monash University.

The salary will be in the range AUD 86,205 – 100,846 per year, depending on the level of experience of the candidate. The starting date is flexible but it is envisaged that it will be between September and November 2019.
