Wichita State University seeks to fill one twelve-month, non-tenure-track teaching faculty positions (depending upon funding) in the newly created Institute for the Study of Economic Growth, housed in W. Frank Barton School of Business. The mission of the Institute is to be a world class research center for the exploration of market and enterprise systems that have the greatest impact on the economic prosperity of society. The Institute seeks to advance the teaching, research and application of innovation and entrepreneurial activities in a free enterprise economy to enhance societal prosperity through economic growth. Towards this end, teaching faculty members will actively promote and support teaching in these areas.

Based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and area of specialization, the position will be a twelve-month, non-tenure-track position in the department of economics, management, or finance. The successful candidate is expected to have teaching responsibilities in the relevant academic department (the willingness to teach online is a plus), assist with developing curriculum, and have a substantial presence on campus. Service to the Institute and the College of Business and some engagement in research consistent with the mission of the Institute is expected. Teaching faculty members are also expected to assist in occasional business and community outreach activities related to the Institute’s mission.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master degree in economics, entrepreneurship, finance, or related field
Some record of scholarly or applied research in markets, enterprise systems, regulatory policy or economic growth
Demonstrated success in college-level teaching in a relevant field

Preferred Qualifications:
Five or more years of teaching experience at the college level teaching economics, entrepreneurship, finance, or related subject
Demonstrated experience with international business and global perspectives on market and enterprise system
