The Social Security Administration’s Office of Research, Demonstration, and Employment Support seeks an economist with an interest in disability policy, return-to-work, and the outcomes and self-sufficiency of people with disabilities. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
• Researching disability, labor force participation, and the social safety net;
• Designing and testing new policies to provide an evidence base for programmatic changes; and
• Overseeing random assignment social experiments to learn what policies are effective.
