The Department of Urban and Environmental Engineering at Kyushu University is seeking one Research Fellow. Titles such as Lecturer or Research Assistant Professor can be given according to academic achievements of the candidate.

Candidates with empirical, experimental, or theoretical research backgrounds are all welcome to apply. The selected candidates are expected to conduct research in one of the following areas:

Environmental and Resource Economics
Urban Economics
Energy Economics
Applied Econometrics (Labor Economics, Public Economics, Development Economics, International Economics, Agricultural Economics, Industrial Organization, or related fields)
Civil Engineering (Sustainability, Urban Planning, Disaster Management, Transportation, Asset Management, or related fields)
Operations Research

Eligible applicants must have sufficient Japanese and English language skills.

We offer at least 2-year contracts at competitive salary levels. Renewal depends on your performance and the availability of funding and is possible up to a maximum of 5 years. The starting date is flexible.
