The Department of Economics at Monash University is seeking informal expressions of interest (EOI) at any rank for tenured or tenure track positions. Field of research is open in general, though one position is targeted towards a professor specialising in macroeconomics or closely related research fields. An internationally competitive remuneration package would be arranged for outstanding appointees.

Review of EOIs will be on a rolling basis commencing immediately, so early submission is recommended for full consideration. Positions are subject to budgetary approval.

Monash University is ranked in the top one per cent of world universities. The Economics group at Monash is placed in the top 50 in the world according to a range of widely recognized rankings and metrics. (ARWU: 42, QS: 45, Tilburg: 33, RePEc: 42). Monash is located in metropolitan Melbourne. During 2011 – 2017, Melbourne has been rated by the Economist as the world’s most liveable city.

Applicants for senior positions need only supply a CV and cover letter at this stage. Applicants for lecturer (assistant professor) should provide fuller detail, including letters of reference and a research paper.
