The Department of Economics & Finance in the Lutgert College of Business (LCOB) at FGCU seeks to hire an Environmental Economist at the rank of Associate/Full Professor. This position will be part of the newly created Water Resources Cluster (WRC) which brings together academic experts from multiple fields to address water related opportunities and challenges facing the state of Florida.

This is a 9-month appointment with summer support that with a primary emphasis on research and some teaching as required to meet programmatic needs. The start date for this position will be August 2019.

This position requires a PhD in Applied Economics, Agricultural Economics, Economics or closely related field. Additionally, a record of scholarly accomplishment appropriate for the appointment at the rank of Associate/Full Professor and consistent with the LCOB standards for classification as scholarly academic is required.

Preferred Characteristics include a research emphasis on water resources, experience working in a center or cluster setting with an emphasis on water issues and previous success securing contract and/or grant funding.
