RTI International’s Behavioral Health Financing, Economics and Evaluation Program is seeking a PhD-level researcher in the discipline of economics, public policy, or health services research with demonstrated experience in econometrics and other quantitative analyses. The program conducts contract and grant funded work in behavioral health economics and behavioral health services research with a primary focus on substance abuse and mental health. The job requires an understanding of principles related to advanced econometrics and evaluation design. The preferred candidate will have experience in the behavioral health research area, but it is not required.

Responsibilities
o Perform evaluation and research tasks including primary data collection and quantitative analyses of large databases;
o Provide support to the development of statistical analysis plans and evaluation designs;
o Develop technical reports and scientific manuscripts; and
o Effectively communicate with project team members, external collaborators, and study sponsors and at industry and academic conferences.

Qualifications
• A PhD in economics, public policy, or health services research; demonstrated expertise in econometrics
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
