The Department of Finance within the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa invites applications for a tenure-track/tenured faculty positions in Finance at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor levels starting August 21, 2019. Rank will be based on experience and record of achievement and include benefits. All specialty areas in finance will be considered; however, individuals with expertise in financial economics are encouraged to apply.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications. Appropriate background checks (e.g. criminal background and credential checks) will be conducted. For best consideration, applications should be submitted by December 5, 2018.

Tenure-track positions require research, teaching and service. Teaching load may include undergraduate, MBA or PhD courses, and courses that span finance and economics.

Education Requirement
An earned doctorate degree or strong evidence that the doctoral degree will be completed before date of hire.

Required Qualifications
For consideration at the Assistant Professor level, applicants must have a demonstrated interest in and capacity to do research publishable in top-tier journals; a high level of teaching competence; and demonstrated commitment to work towards a welcoming and inclusive environment both in and out of the classroom.

For consideration at the Associate Professor or Professor level, applicants must have an extensive and continuing body of research published in top-tier journals; demonstrated success in working with doctoral students; demonstrated record of teaching experience and a commitment to teaching excellence; and demonstrated commitment to work towards a welcoming and inclusive environment both in and out of the classroom.
