The Department of Economics at Knox College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor to begin September 2019. We are seeking candidates with teaching and research interests in International Economics and Economic Development.

Knox College is an independent, selective liberal arts institution with a strong commitment to undergraduate education. The Department of Economics prides itself on being methodologically diverse. As a result, familiarity with multiple paradigms is a plus. Teaching responsibilities will include courses in the candidate’s area of expertise, but also introductory and intermediate level macroeconomics as well as, when possible, courses that contribute to the general liberal arts curriculum.

Successful candidates will have a sincere interest in quality undergraduate teaching at an institution that values diversity, as well as a desire to maintain an active research program. The teaching load is two courses in each of three 10 week terms. A Ph.D. at the time of appointment is preferred but exceptional ABD candidates will be considered.
