The Murphy Institute of Political Economy and the Department of Economics at Tulane University invite applications for one full-time tenure-track position, most likely at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning July 1, 2019. Applicants should have primary research and teaching interests in microeconomic theory, as applied specifically to issues in political economy. Preference will be given to applicants who also have interests in fields where the department has existing strengths and is focusing its graduate programs (health and labor economics; inequality and poverty; the economics of education; and public economics). The position is 50 percent in the Murphy Institute of Political Economy and 50 percent in the Department of Economics, with the tenure home in the Department of Economics.
