Full Text of JOE Listing:

The International Development and Policy Outreach Center within the Department of Public Policy at UCLA will have an opening for a Postdoctoral researcher starting August 2019. The successful applicant will work closely with Professor Manisha Shah on projects related to health and education in the developing world. Primary criteria are the quality of the applicant's research and experience in international development issues related to women and children.

The position will be focused primarily on academic research. There are no teaching expectations, but the candidate may be granted the option to teach if desired. There is currently funding for one year with the possibility of extension to another year if additional funds are raised.

Application materials will be evaluated on a rolling basis, so early applications are encouraged. Final decisions will be announced by April 2019.
The start date is August 1, 2019. Candidates must have completed requirements for a PhD in economics or related field by June 2019.

Proficiency in statistical software, including STATA, is required.
