The Department of Economics and Finance at the Dixie L. Leavitt School of Business at Southern Utah University is seeking applicants for a full-time lecture position. With a university focus on experiential learning, we are looking for candidates that can provide quality experiences in the undergraduate curriculum. Expected course load is 5 courses a semester with an average class size of around 40. Course assignment will be based on experience and expertise. In addition to offering core courses in Economics, the department offers a course called US Economic History which fills an American Institutions general education requirement. Our undergraduate degree has a quantitative emphasis and also services the Data Analytics and MBA programs.

Other responsibilities consist of mentoring and engaging with students in alignment with the mission and vision of the University.

Qualified candidates will have
1. Master’s degree or PhD in Economics or related field
2. Ability to provide an excellent educational experience for students
3. Willingness to contribute to the department and college
