The Department of Business and Economics of The University of Virginia's College at Wise invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position in economics. Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. in economics, a strong interest in and commitment to teaching excellence, and commitment to a continuing program of scholarly research. Applicants from all areas of concentration will be considered, however, candidates with a concentration or MS in finance will be preferred. ABD's near completion will be considered, but candidates must have completed the Ph.D. by August 2019 to be hired on a tenure-track appointment. Compensation will be very competitive and commensurate with experience.

Immediate teaching responsibilities will include Microeconomics & Macroeconomics (both at Principles and Intermediate levels), Business Mathematics, Business Statistics, and additional courses, depending on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and interests. The standard teaching load is four courses per semester.
