Oxera Consulting is looking for Finance PhD candidates to join our Commercial Disputes team. The Commercial Disputes team sits within Oxera’s Finance & Valuation practice and is involved in a broad range of high-profile litigation and international arbitration disputes.

In addition to project work, our consultants participate in project management and contribute to business development activities. The Commercial Disputes team specialises in assessing damages resulting from breach of contract, shareholder disagreements, fraud allegations, reputational harm, intellectual property rights infringements, tax issues and insolvency proceedings. Our work on these cases revolves around the application of the most suitable finance and valuation techniques to assess the market outlook of companies, to value tangible and intangible assets and complex financial products, and to estimate lost profits resulting from the termination of agreements.

An ideal candidate would be interested in applying their theoretical and empirical finance and valuation expertise to real-world disputes cases, and have strong analytical, communication, presentation, and teamwork skills. Pre- or postgraduate work experience in a related environment (preferably in finance, government, related industries, or consulting) is strongly desired.
