The Department of Environmental and Natural Resource Economics at the University of Rhode Island invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor. We seek applicants addressing high impact topics in environmental and natural resource management as well as agricultural issues with focus on the development of innovative approaches to big data analysis, machine learning, and other high performance computing applications. The candidate is expected to develop an externally funded research program, and contribute to teaching and experiential learning, exposing graduate and undergraduate students to the latest methods and technological advances. The candidate will have the unique opportunity to interact with the university-wide Big Data Initiative. A Ph.D. or equivalent in economics, applied economics, public policy, or a closely related field is required by the appointment date.
