Full Text of JOE Listing:

The School of Economics at the University of Sydney is one of the primary centers for economics in Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific region, located in one of the most exciting cities in the world. We currently invite applications from outstanding candidates in all fields of economics for the full-time, tenure-track position of Lecturer (equivalent of Assistant Professor in North America).

The School has a broad range of research interests in both theoretical and applied areas of Economics and is responsible for undergraduate and graduate programs (up to and including PhD) in Economics. The successful applicant will have a completed (or near complete) PhD in Economics. Initial interviews will be held at the ASSA meetings in Atlanta in January 2019.

The successful applicant will be available to commence employment by July 2018 ideally, but this may be negotiated. A competitive remuneration package of AUD$123,259 – $146,368 p.a. is available (which includes a base salary $104,155 - $123,682 p.a., leave loading and up to 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation).
