Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Climate Adaptation Initiative (CAI) at UCLA invites applications for a post-doctoral research position beginning July 2019.

The successful applicant will work closely with CAI Director Dr. R. Jisung Park on projects that explore the welfare economics and policy implications of adaptation to climate change. These include questions pertaining to potential market failures in adaptation investment, interactions with existing labor market policies, and the distributional consequences of climate policy.

The position will be focused primarily on academic research. There may however be opportunities to work with policymakers in applying research to policy design and implementation. There are no teaching expectations, but the candidate may be granted the option to teach if desired. The expectation is that it would be a two year position pending a satisfactory one-year review.
