Mathematica Policy Research, a nationally-recognized nonpartisan policy research organization, is seeking economists with international development and evaluation expertise to join our international research unit. Specifically, we are seeking experienced economists with expertise in impact evaluation methods to contribute to our rapidly-growing portfolio of impact and performance evaluations of interventions in education, health, agriculture, infrastructure, water, sanitation, and hygiene, and other sectors in various countries across the globe.

Candidates should bring very strong design, analytical, writing, and presentation skills that would allow them to design rigorous evaluations, conduct analyses, write reports, and present findings to policy and research audiences. Field experience in developing countries, including working closely with stakeholders such as implementers and data collection firms, is strongly preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential. Experience working in one of the following sectors is preferred: education; workforce development; reproductive health; maternal and child health; nutrition; water, sanitation, and hygiene; agriculture; land; energy; and transportation. Fluency in French or Portuguese is preferred.
