The Thomas F. Gleed Chair of Business Administration brings a distinguished scholar to the Albers School of Business and Economics for a one-year period starting on 9/1/2019. Applicants with backgrounds in any business or economics related discipline, who are interested in, and have experience with “big data” and business analytics in general are encouraged to apply.

The Gleed Chairholder will serve as a resource for students and faculty and will actively participate in community activities such as lectures, seminars, and conferences. The recipient will be expected to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and to serve as a mentor for faculty research. Specific duties will be tailored to the strengths and interests of the chair holder.

The criteria for selecting the Gleed Chair will include potential for contributions to the quality of education at Albers, potential for contributions to the community by bringing new ideas and viewpoints for discussion, and potential for contributing to the visibility of Seattle University and Albers in the community.

Minimum Requirements: A doctoral degree, excellence in teaching, and a distinguished research record.
