TED University Trade Research Center (TEDUTRC) invites applications from an outstanding applied, international trade economist. The successful applicant should have a strong training in econometrics, empirical methods, micro-level firm data analysis, and international economics.

TEDUTRC is located in Ankara and conducts high quality research in the field of international economics. Among TEDUTRC’s main objectives are to provide policy recommendations on trade issues to policymakers, to collaborate with other centers of research excellence and to provide opportunities for young scholars working in its research areas. Applicants should have received their PhD prior to beginning the position. The position is a one-year appointment, with the possibility of extension to a second year.

Responsibilities:
- Analyze firm-level data on-site at TurkStat in Ankara
- Draft and co-author journal articles, working papers and policy briefs
- Present work in seminars
- Draft project proposals
