Description of Role: The senior economist will be responsible for producing high quality, independent policy research and analysis on public policy issues impacting large U.S. banks. The senior economist will partner directly with the Director of Policy Research in designing the group's strategy and will have significant responsibilities for strategy execution. The senior economist will have primary responsibility for conducting analytical analyses of important regulatory and public policy issues affecting large banks. The senior economist will be expected to independently assess and analyze regulatory developments and form a view on their impact on the banking industry as well as impacts on the broader economy. The senior economist will also be responsible for communicating these views to stakeholders both inside and outside the Financial Services Forum.

Specific Skill Requirements: The senior economist will require the following skills:

• At least 5 years of experience working as an economist in a banking or finance related field.

• Expert knowledge of the broad regulatory framework applicable to large U.S. banks.

• Ability to design and execute rigorous analytical analyses - e.g. briefing notes, whitepapers, blog posts – of financial
regulations and their impact on the banking sector and the economy.

• Expertise in the use and analysis of data to support analytical assessments of regulatory policy and its impact on
the banking sector and the economy.

• Strong written and oral skills. Ability to work across several functions (communications, government relations, etc.)
to formulate and communicate a clear and consistent message.

• Ability to be agile, respond to short deadlines and respond proactively to requests for analyses.
