The Department of Economics at the University of Florida invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-accruing position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the field of Macroeconomics, beginning August 16, 2019. The Department of Economics is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their research, teaching, and service, to the diversity and excellence of the academic community at the University of Florida. The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, and includes a full benefits package.The successful candidate is expected to engage in undergraduate, masters, and doctoral teaching and to conduct independent research leading to publications in leading peer-reviewed journals.The Department of Economics has experienced substantial growth in recent years, both in terms of faculty size and program offerings. The faculty, including ten junior members, actively collaborates on research. The Department currently offers an undergraduate minor and major, a 4+1 B.A./M.A. program, and a Ph.D. program.

Qualifications:
Candidates will have a Ph.D. in Economics or complete their Ph.D. by August 15, 2019
