The Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure-track position at the entry or advanced Assistant Professor level. We primarily seek candidates conducting high quality empirical research in the field of Industrial Organization. Candidates conducting outstanding empirical research in other applied microeconomic fields, especially Household Finance, Consumption, and Behavioral Economics, or in applied macroeconomic fields also are encouraged to apply.

Candidates must be committed to excellence in teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Candidates are expected to have completed their Ph.D. in economics by August 31, 2019. The normal teaching load is two courses per semester, with a reduced load for new faculty.

We will be interviewing at the ASSA meetings in Atlanta, GA, in January 2019. Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, three letters of recommendation, at least one recent paper, and recent teaching evaluations, if available, through the JOE application platform. Review of applications will begin on November 20, 2018. Priority consideration will be given to applications received by that date.
