The Department of Economics at Emory University seeks to hire several economists as part of its planned expansion. Emory University is consistently ranked among the best institutions in the US and is home to many first rate programs. Our economics department has a focus in core areas and is one of the most productive programs in research output and publications in the top journals. Among various searches, we would like to fill a senior position in econometrics or applied microeconomics. We are seeking established scholars who are thought leaders, with worldwide reputations and relevant research agenda, and a taste for active leadership, mentorship and cutting edge scholarship. Appointment is anticipated at the full professor level, but rising scholars at the rank of advanced associate professors are encouraged to apply as well. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D., a distinguished record of scholarly activities and accomplishments, an active research agenda, and an established record of excellence in teaching at graduate and undergraduate levels. We will be attending the AEA Meetings in Atlanta, although we prefer to have completed our searches by then. The starting date for the position is Fall 2019.
