For the study of the economics of capital shares, namely, employee stock ownership, profit sharing, broad-based equity compensation, various forms of employee share ownership, and broadened ownership of capital in the corporation and in the economy in the United States.

The Institute for the Study of Employee Ownership and Profit Sharing at the Rutgers University School of Management and Labor Relations invites applications from economists who are doctoral candidates, post-docs, and pre/post tenure scholars for the 2019-2020 Research Fellowships, the J. Robert Beyster Fellowship and the Louis O. Kelso Fellowships. Applicants are encouraged to study the relationship between these topics and economic inequality or the economic performance of firms.

The Institute seeks scholars with a long-term interest in these research streams who are based in the United States and study the United States and wish to work with a community of researchers going forward. Stipends can be used for research, travel, or living expenses and are awarded for residence at the scholar’s university.

Please submit an email application with a 1500 word essay describing your proposed research project and a vita by December 31, 2018 with decisions expected by March 15, 2019.
