Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree pertaining to one or more of economics, marketing,finance,accounting,industrial engineering, information systems, operations management,statistics and related disciplines. Applicants with strong backgrounds and/or related software skills are preferred. Applicants should also possess strong potential for researching and teaching.

The appointee would be expected to publish in leading international peer-reviewed journals and achieve research funds granted by several selected foundations in China. The appointee would also be expected to teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses, and supervise research students. The working language in undergraduate courses are Mandarin Chinese. The teaching load is competitive. The start date would be flexible.

The School of Economics and Management at Southwest Jiaotong University currently has 108 full-time faculty members, and operates several programs offering BA, MA, MBA, EMBA, and PhD degrees. An AMBA accreditation has been approved for the MBA/EMBA programs.

The School is one of the most reputable Chinese institutions in Big Data Analytics. Unique and exclusive datasets on human mobility have been established, and keep growing. The National Natural Science Foundation of China has granted a Major Research Program to the School.
