The School of Economics is a leading provider of economics education in Australia, with a strong reputation for research and teaching worldwide. Consistently ranked in the top five percent of economics institutions internationally, the School has a state-of-the-art experimental economics laboratory.

The role: The successful appointee will participate in experimental and behavioural economics research under the direction and in support of Professor Daniel Zizzo. There will also be an opportunity to conduct independent research.

The person: Applicants should have a PhD in Economics or be nearing completion. Additionally, the appointee should be able to demonstrate their prior experience managing research projects and the ability to program software relevant to experiments.

The ideal candidate will possess high level written and verbal communication skills, as evidenced by publication, refereed papers, research grant successes and conference participation. They will be highly motivated and demonstrate the ability to self-manage in order to meet project goals/milestones.

Remuneration: This is a full-time, fixed-term appointment for five years at Academic Level B. The remuneration package will be in the range AUD$92,142 - $109,419 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range AUD$107,807 - $128,020 p.a.).
