The Faculty of Arts at UBC Vancouver seeks an outstanding candidate for Director of the UBC School of Public Policy and Global Affairs https://policyschool.ubc.ca and concurrent appointment at a senior professorial rank. Anticipated start for directorship: July 1, 2019, for five years, with possibility of reappointment. We seek applicants who have a PhD, distinguished record of research publications and scholarship activity, record of high quality teaching, and graduate supervision, policy engagement, and leadership and administrative skills.

Applicants must be prepared to upload a single bookmarked PDF file containing the following items, in the order listed: cover letter; curriculum vitae; and statements (no longer than 1 page each) summarizing their (a) research program, (b) policy engagement, (c) teaching philosophy/practice and ability to work with a diverse student body, and (d) experience in and approach to leadership and administrative roles. Applicants are also asked to provide the names and contact information for four referees who may be approached at a later date to provide confidential and objective assessment of the applicant’s suitability for the SPPGA leadership position.
