The Agricultural and Resource Economics Program at McGill University invites applications from an outstanding applied, development, agricultural or resource economist. The successful applicant should have a strong training in econometrics, empirical methods, micro-level household analysis, and international agricultural development economics. (S)he will be encouraged to participate with faculty members and seminars in both the departments of Natural Resource Sciences and Economics at McGill University in Montréal, Canada.

Applications will be considered on a rolling basis starting immediately. Applicants should have received their PhD prior to beginning the position. The position is a one-year appointment, with the possibility of extension to a second year. The applicant should be fluent in spoken and written English. Responsibilities:
- Analyze household-level data examining global food security issues
- Draft and co-author journal articles, working papers and policy briefs
- Present work in seminars

Qualifications:
- PhD in economics, applied economics, or agricultural and resource economics
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and with others
- Strong analytical and written skills
- Experience working in agriculture for development
