The Department of Economics in the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant (or Advanced Assistant) Professor level to begin August 2019. Candidates with research interests in all areas of macroeconomics are encouraged to apply, although there is particular interest in candidates conducting research applied to developing countries. The ideal candidate should also be prepared to teach macroeconomics at the undergraduate and PhD level.

Applicants must have earned a Ph.D. in Economics prior to start date. Applicants should provide a CV, three reference letters and a writing sample. All applications must be submitted through the American Economic Association’s Job Openings for Economists website (https://www.aeaweb.org/joe/). Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States. At the time of offer, a background check will be required. To receive full consideration, complete applications must be received by November 25, 2018. Candidate interviews will be conducted at the ASSA meetings in January 2019 in Atlanta. Candidates will be considered until the position is filled.
