The Department of Economics hosts a dynamic and highly research active group whose research is ranked as world leading and internationally excellent. It’s Land, Environment, Economics and Policy Institute (LEEP) is a new research initiative combining economics with a diversity of other disciplines (e.g. natural and physical sciences) and bringing together world leaders in the field who have an established record of research excellence and high impact with government and the business sector.

We are looking to appoint outstanding individuals as Associate and Full Professors in Environmental Economics who will make a significant impact to the research, teaching and service profile of LEEP, particularly in areas related or complementary to existing work on the application of economic analysis to policy and/or business activity that affects the natural environment and associated applied economics.

Candidates are expected to be leading international figures and innovative researchers with a proven track record of research funding and international quality publications. Post holders must possess expertise complementary to the research focus and methods of LEEP, including: applied economics using quantitative research methods; and high-quality economics applied to the environment.
