The University of Chicago Law School seeks a Research Specialist to conduct empirical research in collaboration with the School's world-class law and economics faculty. Responsibilities include building and managing data sets, testing econometric models, conducting complex data analysis, writing research documentation, cleaning and preparing data, and performing other duties necessary to the social science research enterprise.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree in economics or related field is preferred.

Experience:
- Two years research experience, preferably assisting a faculty member or faculty research group.
- Experience programming with Stata; familiarity with Matlab, SAS or R.
- Experience programming in Python.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Perl or Ruby is a plus.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel.
