Ghent University is currently inviting applications for the full-time position of a Research Professor in Applied Microeconomics at the Department of Economics. The candidate will strengthen the microeconomic foundations and capacity of ongoing research in labor, welfare and public economics, or related areas. He/she will contribute to the development of (applied) microeconomics as an important domain for the entire Department of Economics. The position involves a reduced teaching load during at least 5 years (with possible renewal). The hiring can be at all levels, from tenure track assistant professor to full professor, depending on the acquired experience, but priority will be given to senior researchers with a proven outstanding track record of peer reviewed publications, of attracting research funds and of advising Ph.D. students. In any case, the candidate should have at least two years of post-doctoral experience on October 1, 2018.
Location: Ghent, Belgium (less than half an hour by train from Brussels).
