The School of Economics and Finance at Universidad EAFIT ranks among the top 12% in South America and is considered one of the best in Colombia, according to the Ideas/RePEC ranking.

The Center for Research in Economics and Finance (CIEF) supports the scientific production of Faculty and Graduate Students from the Department of Economics and the Department of Finance. The CIEF's Director main responsibilities are:

• To manage and oversee the quality, quantity and impact of academic research and consultancy projects.
• To mentor junior professors and researchers.
• To support international cooperation projects.
• To oversee the School’s research budget.
• To organize academic seminars, workshops and conferences.

The candidate should develop a strong research agenda and may teach classes at a graduate level (MSc or PhD).

Requirements:

1. Graduate degree: Ph.D. in Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, or Finance.

2. Five years of teaching experience as a full-time professor at a higher education institution of international recognition; or at least seven years of professional or research experience.

3. At least seven publications in Economics or Finances in the last four years. These publications must be indexed on the ISI or SCOPUS databases.
