Young and research-intensive, Nanyang Technological University (NTU Singapore) is ranked 11th globally. It is also placed 1st among the world’s best young universities.

The School of Social Sciences (SSS) offers undergraduate and graduate degree programmes in a full range of disciplines and actively promotes interdisciplinary learning and research.

The School of Social Sciences at NTU invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Economics. Economics is a major programme in SSS. It attracts excellent students to its BA, MA and PhD degree programmes, and it also provides General Elective Courses for the entire university community.

Selection will be based on evidence of potential for high-quality research and effective teaching. Relevant post-doctoral experience may be an advantage. Candidates should possess a Ph.D.

The successful candidate is expected to teach and develop courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including General Education courses, as well as supervise graduate students and undergraduate projects.
All fields will be considered but preference will be given to Environmental Economics, Health and Development, and Labor Economics.
