We welcome you to apply for a seven-year tenure track position as Associate Professor in Economics at the Department of Economics, University of Bergen. Towards the end of the period, the candidate will be evaluated for a tenured position as a Full Professor.

Department of Economics (http://www.uib.no/econ) is one of seven departments at the Faculty of Social Sciences. The Department offers bachelor, master and PhD degrees in economics. Research and teaching at the Department cover a broad spectrum of sub-disciplines. The Department’s research is centered around three research groups:

Industrial Organization, Finance and Markets
Welfare, Social Insurance and Health
Natural Resources, Environmental and Development Economics

We are looking for an excellent economist with a PhD from the last five years.

The successful candidate is expected to strengthen the Department’s existing research and education profiles. The Associate Professor will be expected to teach and supervise at all levels, and to engage in other tasks at the Department.

Applicants must have demonstrated their ability to publish research at a high international level.
