The department of economics at the Université catholique de Louvain (Belgium) is offering a post-doctoral position in the field of international trade and development economics, starting in September 2018. The post-doctoral project aims to study the distributional effects of globalization in both developed and developing economies.

The candidate must hold of a PhD degree in economics by August 2018 and should not have stayed more than 12 months in Belgium during the last three years. The candidate must have a proven record of high quality research in the fields of international trade and/or development economics, and have the potential to publish in the top journals in economics.

The position, financed by a grant of the Belgian science foundation, is open starting September 2018 for two years, with a possibility to extend for a third year. It does not come with any teaching duties and offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
