The Department of Economics within the John H. Sykes College of Business at The University of Tampa invites applications for a renewable (non-tenure track) term position in Economics available August 2018 at the Instructor/Assistant Professor level.
The successful applicant will initially teach Principles of Macroeconomics in our undergraduate program. An opportunity exists to teach other microeconomics or macroeconomics courses at the undergraduate or graduate level that match the applicant's interests. Responsibilities will include an undergraduate teaching load of 12 contact hours per semester.
The candidate is expected to engage in scholarly and research activity, advise undergraduate students, and provide service to the department, college, university and broader community.
Review of applicants will begin January 15, 2018, and continue until the position is filled.
Applicants must have a Master's degree with a minimum of 18 credit hours in Economics before the start date. Ph.D. or DBA is preferred. A demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence is required. The applicants will also be expected to actively participate in student service and maintain an active record of relevant scholarship.
