Goethe University Frankfurt and the Research Center SAFE invite applications for a position as a Postdoctoral Fellow starting in March 2018 at the earliest and September 2018 at the latest. The position is limited to three years. An extension for three additional years might be possible, subject to funding and a positive midterm review.

For the first three years the successful candidate will be member of a Norface Research project on “Trends in Inequality: Sources and Policy”. This project will study the trends in inequality over the life-cycle by developing quantitative macroeconomic models and will be conducted jointly by Goethe University Frankfurt, the Institute for International Economic Studies at Stockholm University, the University College London and the Queen Mary University of London.

Successful applicants should be familiar with micro-econometric data analyses, macroeconomic theory and quantitative macroeconomic heterogeneous agent models. We will conduct interviews for the positions towards the end of January.
