Located in Guangzhou, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS) is an influential and internationalized university in South China for its global-minded faculty/students and its research on international languages, literature, culture, trade and strategic studies. GDUFS has 22 faculties offering 64 programs in literature, economics, finance, management, law, engineering, science, education and art for bachelor, master and doctoral degrees and post-doctoral research. More than 20% of GDUFS’s current academic staff was recruited from oversea institutions. The University has three campuses: the North Campus at the foot of the Baiyun Mountain, the South Campus in Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center, and Dalang Campus. The School of Finance at GDUFS is a dynamic and fast-growing school that puts a strong emphasis on research and professional education. It has successfully recruited a number of faculty members from abroad during the past three years.

Job description: The School of Finance invites applications for permanent faculty positions in international finance, corporate finance, insurance and risk management, financial engineering, financial institution, time series econometrics, and real estate finance at all levels (assistant, associate, or full professor). We offer a competitive compensation package including salaries, research funds, housing subsidies and other benefits.

Job qualifications: Junior candidates are expected to demonstrate high research potential. Applicants for senior positions must have a well-established portfolio of good publications. Applicants should also be able to show evidence of teaching effectiveness. All candidates must hold a PhD at the time of appointment.
