The Albers School of Business & Economics invites nominations for The Thomas F. Gleed Chair of Business Administration, beginning September 1, 2018. The successful candidate would bring a distinguished business educator to the School for a one-year period. We will seek to share the special expertise of the Gleed Chairholder with the community in various forums. The position is open to candidates from all disciplines. Though, applicants from marketing, accounting, or finance backgrounds with an expertise in business analytics are of particular interest.

The recipient will serve as a resource for university students and faculty and will actively participate in community activities: business seminars, lectures, and conferences, etc. The specific duties will be tailored to the strengths of the chair holder.

The criteria for selecting the Gleed Chair will include potential for contribution to the quality of education at Albers, potential for contribution to the community by bringing new ideas and new viewpoints for discussion, and potential for contributing to the visibility of Seattle University and Albers in the business community. The Gleed Chairholder will be expected to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and to serve as a mentor for faculty research.

Salary commensurate with qualifications and stature of the chair.

Qualifications: doctoral degree, an excellent teaching record with a distinguished record in research and publication.
