The College of Business invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor in Economics. We seek a dynamic economist with a strong background for research and teaching excellence to join the department in a time of significant University growth. In addition to research and service, faculty members of the department carry a 3-3 teaching load, unless their scholarship productivity warrants reassigned time for scholarship. The individual hired for this position is expected to maintain an active research agenda leading to publications in quality peer-reviewed journals.

Qualifications: Applicants for this position must hold the earned doctorate in economics and should qualify for the rank of assistant professor in the department. Additionally, applicant must possess a commitment to collaboration, leadership, initiative; undergraduate and graduate student success; commitment to all programs within the department, and skills to help the department articulate its goals and plans as part of an Emerging Research Institution (ERI); and a commitment to diversity, as well as a willingness to strengthen and expand links with the community and alumni.
