The Clearing House (TCH) is a banking association and payments company that is owned by the largest commercial banks and dates back to 1853. The Clearing House Association L.L.C is a nonpartisan organization that engages in research, analysis, advocacy and litigation focused on financial regulation.

The research department is a dynamic team that produces top quality research on issues relating to banking regulation and supervision, financial markets, and monetary policy. The research is communicated through publications in peer-reviewed journals, presentations at conferences, as well as research notes and blog posts published in TCH's website intended for a non-academic but well informed audience.

They are also expected to contribute to the Department's higher frequency communications on related matters intended for a broader audience. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in the juncture between regulations and financial market liquidity and functioning.

Basic qualifications and requirements are a PhD in economics or finance, a strong interest in policy-oriented research and analysis; drive to deliver high-quality, cutting-edge research relevant to the supervision and regulation of banks in an environment of informed and thoughtful public debate; excellent technical and communication skills.
