The Opportunity:

The Centre for Health Economics (CHE) has been at the forefront of health economics teaching and research in Australia for more than a decade. As one of the largest concentrations of senior health economists in Australia, it has a strong track record of health economics research, teaching and community service.

As a consequence of winning new research grants, the CHE is expanding and complementing our existing research strengths in the field of economic evaluation and health technology assessment. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced postdoctoral research fellow to work within a team that includes senior health economists. You will be able to develop your research expertise and research profile, producing peer reviewed publications and contributing to the methodological and applied aspects of economic evaluation of health programs and technologies.

To be successful you will have a relevant postgraduate level qualification and experience in economics, health economics, econometrics, statistics or public health with a specialisation in economic evaluation.

In addition to your qualifications, you will have:

• Commitment to engage and align with organisational vision for research
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritise work flow and meet funding application deadlines
• Demonstrated analytical skills

Experience in grant writing and research project management will be advantageous.

The role is a full-time position, however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated. The position is for 2 years full time in the first instance and successful applicants will have a role in the future development of this stream of research within the CHE.

Your application must address the selection criteria, a CV, a relevant research paper or report and 3 letters of reference (contact name, phone number and contact email). Please refer to "How to apply for Monash Jobs"
