Required/Essential Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree or equivalent with advanced ABD status (doctoral dissertation defended by December 1, 2018) from a regionally accredited doctoral program in Economics.
2. Experience independently teaching an economics or introductory statistics course (must have teaching evaluations).
3. Strong written communication skills.
4. The candidate must have Scholarly Academic (SA) qualification. LSBE’s requirements for the faculty qualification categories are listed at: https://lsbe.d.umn.edu/docs/Faculty%20Qualifications%20Definitions.pdf .
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Ph.D. in Economics from a regionally accredited institution.
2. Experience independently teaching an introductory course in economics.
3. Experience independently teaching an introductory course in statistics.
4. Demonstrated evidence of effective teaching including the ability to use a variety of teaching methods in a diverse classroom.
5. Three years of effective college teaching experience across the curriculum in economics.
6. Documented record of a recently published peer reviewed article/s in an economics-related journal/s.
