Oklahoma State University, Department of Economics and Legal Studies in Business, seeks outstanding applicants for a tenure-track position in economic education (JEL CODE A22) at the Assistant or Associate Professor level beginning August 2018, contingent upon available funding. Applicants should either have or be close to finishing a PhD in Economics. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to educational innovation and lead the design and delivery of core curriculum courses offered by in the department. The holder of this position is expected to play a leading role in curriculum design and provide expertise and mentorship to undergraduate economics majors.

The research and scholarship expectation may include: refereed publications in nationally recognized scholarly journals; designing innovative an curriculum based on systematic and evidence-based review of teaching methods and techniques; exploring the impact of changes in curriculum design and teaching practice on student learning; conference presentations on educational practice and design at national conferences, and/or attracting funding to undertake projects that enhance student or staff learning and teaching outcomes.

In addition to these administrative duties, the teaching load is two or three classes each semester, depending on research productivity. The Department offers Ph.D., M.S., B.S. and B.A. programs in Economics, including a doctoral fields in Development, Urban & Regional, and International Trade and Finance.
