Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Department invites applications for four tenure track Assistant Professor positions emphasizing the fields of international, development or urban economics. We are also open to candidates in environmental economics, or candidates who could teach economics with applied specializations in Caribbean, African American or gender studies or health or education. Howard University, classified as a doctoral/research institution by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, is a comprehensive research university and a Historically Black College/University (HBCU).

Applicants must have active research agendas with strong publication records. Candidates must be able to teach effectively at both undergraduate and graduate levels and to guide doctoral research. Candidates must defend their dissertations and graduate no later than spring 2018.

Include a cover letter, directly addressing the qualifications and desired attributes described above. We will interview candidates at the 2018 ASSA meetings.
