Rollins College, the first institution of higher learning in Florida, is a small liberal arts college in Winter Park, historically emphasizing innovative and quality teaching in a small class setting. The Department of Economics at Rollins College seeks two tenure-track assistant professors to begin Fall 2018.

We seek candidates with expertise in microeconomic theory with a focus on Labor, Income Distribution, Industrial Organization, Public Finance, and Behavioral Economics. A proven ability to teach all traditional core courses in economics including Statistics is a must. We expect the ideal candidates to also be attracted to exploring alternative conceptual and ideological perspectives and to contribute to a pluralist economics department and evolving curriculum.

The teaching load is 3 courses a semester, including the core courses in the major, electives and possibly teaching in the evening program in the Hamilton Holt School.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree in Economics at the time of the hire, and must demonstrate both excellence in teaching at the instructor level or above, as well as a record of scholarship. Rollins College provides good support for career development in both areas.
