The Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting at the State University of New York College at Oneonta invites applications for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor of Economics beginning Fall 2018. Expectations include teaching, research, student advisement, college service, and continuing professional development. Located in the hills of Central New York, SUNY Oneonta is a mid-size, public, liberal arts and sciences college with a pre-professional focus. The College enrolls approximately 6,000 students in a wide variety of bachelor's degree programs and a number of graduate certificates and degrees.

The School of Economics and Business is accredited by AACSB International. It houses two academic departments: the Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting and the Department of Management, Marketing and Information Systems. Three academic majors are offered: Business Economics, Professional Accounting, and Economics. The Professional Accounting major is a 150-hour program registered with the New York State Education Department as meeting CPA curriculum requirements. The School has 34 faculty/staff and approximately 800 students.

The College's business programs are distinguished by small classes, highly accessible faculty, teamwork, and information technology-supported classrooms.
