Stanford-Surgery Policy Improvement Research and Education (S-SPIRE) Center seeks to foster research on costs, outcomes and the value of care. We are seeking a Fellow who is interested in questions of risk, payments, policy effectiveness, and team performance.

The Fellow will be appointed for one year and will be provided time, guidance, office space, and access to Stanford University facilities. The Fellow should be prepared to devote his/her entire time to productive scholarship on topics closely related to the S-SPIRE Center core research themes.

The Fellowship is open only to scholars with a PhD received no later than June 2018. While preference will be given to scholars in earlier stages of their careers, all qualified candidates will be considered, regardless of year of degree. Fellows are expected to live in the Stanford area for the duration of their appointments unless traveling for research purposes for short periods of time. They are also expected to participate in scientific activities within the S-SPIRE Center and across the University.
